Usability testing

Usability testing (UT) is a testing methodology that makes it possible to improve the ergonomy and intuitiveness of the user interface.
The test consists of checking the control group, the future system users and how they are handling the system, through registering their work on their computers by using the appropriate tools (cameras, two-way mirrors, specialist software-registering user activities). Usability testing has been conducted since the creation of the stable version of beta system, which functionality enables usage of this tool in the broadest possible range. Testing involves checking solutions accuracy within the user interface.

Reporting on correctly-performed usability testing gives feedback for user interface designers on specific solutions suggesting the changes that improve UI intuitiveness. After corrections in application it is possible to optionally perform next phase of usability testing if changes made as a result of the first phase were significant.
The final objective of the process is to reduce the need for help-desk services and training of end users, and almost important to improve the perceived comfort of users in using the instrument.
